Do you bring a truck?
No, and that's the point. Extra Hands is a labor-only crew. You rent the truck, PODS, or container (or already have a transport company), and we do the loading, unloading, carrying, and furniture setup. You save by not paying for a truck twice.
How much does it cost?
1 mover: $95/hour. 2 movers: $145/hour. Need more movers? +$50/hour per extra person (3 movers: $195/hour). Every job has a 2-hour minimum. No travel fee: time starts when the crew arrives, and after the minimum you pay for actual time. Regular hours are 7 AM to 9 PM; hours worked between 9 PM and 7 AM are billed at double rate.
Can I book online?
Yes. Open the chat on this page, pick your crew size, and tap Book it. Choose a date and a 1-hour arrival window (for example, 8–9 AM), and you'll get an instant confirmation. We never promise an exact minute; the crew arrives within your window, and time starts when they arrive. Need help today? Call or text 786-509-4868.
Do you work evenings or early mornings?
Yes. Regular hours are 7 AM to 9 PM. Any hours worked between 9 PM and 7 AM are billed at double rate: 1 mover $190/hour, 2 movers $290/hour, +$100/hour per extra person.
What areas do you serve?
We work across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, from Miami to Fort Lauderdale to Palm Beach. We're based in Hallandale Beach. Not sure if you're in range? Text us your ZIP code and we'll let you know.
How many movers do I need?
Small jobs, like a few heavy items or a storage unit load, can work with 1 mover. Most studios and 1–2 bedroom apartments need 2 movers. Bigger homes, lots of stairs, or a tight timeline usually call for 3 or more (+$50/hour per extra person). Not sure? Tell us about your move and we'll recommend a crew size.
Can you load a PODS, U-Haul, or other rental truck or container?
Yes, that's one of our most common jobs. We load trucks and portable containers tight and balanced so things don't shift on the road, and we can unload at the other end if you're staying in South Florida.
Do you bring packing supplies?
No. Boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and other packing materials are bought by you; our crew works by the hour. Each mover brings 1 hand truck, 2 four-wheel dollies, and a tool set for furniture assembly and disassembly.
How long will my move take?
It depends on how much stuff you have, how ready it is, and how far the truck is from the door. Your written estimate will give you a time range, and after the 2-hour minimum you pay for actual time. Tip: having everything boxed and the truck parked close saves real money.
Are you licensed or registered?
Yes. Extrahands FL LLC is registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) as an Intrastate Mover of Household Goods under Chapter 507, Florida Statutes: Fla. Mover Reg. No. IM150014, valid through 09/02/2028.
What don't you do?
We don't provide trucks. We also don't do appliance hookups (gas or water lines), electrical, or plumbing work, and we can't move hazardous materials like gas cans, propane, paint, or chemicals.
Should I tip the crew?
Tipping is never required, but it's always appreciated if the crew did a great job. Cold water on a hot Florida day goes a long way too.
